Antique 1920s German Bisque Dolls House Doll – Likely Hertwig KM382

A charming 1920s German bisque dolls’ house doll, standing approximately 8cm high and still wearing her original period clothing.

She has a delicately painted face with red lips, moulded and painted auburn hair and long slender bisque limbs. Her wire jointed construction allows a small amount of movement at the shoulders and hips, a characteristic feature of these little German dolls’ house dolls.

She wears her original cream floral dress decorated with tiny red and purple flowers, together with her bonnet and ribbon ties. Her painted brown shoes complete the outfit beautifully.

The doll is likely to have been made by Hertwig & Co., although as there is no confirmed maker's mark, we are offering this as an attribution rather than a definite identification.

She has survived remarkably well for a doll now around a century old. Please study the photographs carefully for her condition and the condition of her original clothing, which naturally shows signs of age.
