A delightful 1920s German bisque dolls house doll, standing approximately 8cm high and retaining her original period clothing.
This charming little doll has a beautifully painted face, moulded brown hair and wire jointed limbs, allowing some movement and positioning. She wears her original floral dress with bonnet and painted shoes.
She is likely to have been made by Hertwig & Co., one of the well known German manufacturers of bisque dolls during this period. As she is not being sold with a confirmed maker's mark, the attribution to Hertwig is given as likely rather than definitive.
Her original clothing is particularly appealing, although there is visible staining to the back and one side of the dress, consistent with its age. Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
