Antique 1920s German Bisque Dolls House Baby Doll – Likely Hertwig KM384

A delightful little antique German bisque dolls’ house doll dating from the 1920s, standing approximately 5.5cm high and retaining his original clothing.

He has a particularly sweet face with beautiful rosy cheeks, tiny red lips, finely painted features and a soft felt bonnet. 

The doll has wire jointed limbs, allowing movement at the shoulders and hips, and wears his  original pale blue romper suit finished with a blue ribbon at the neck.

His original romper is a little grubby from age and has a stain to the back. There are also the expected signs of age and handling to the doll himself. Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.

He is likely to have been made by Hertwig & Co., although without a confirmed maker's mark this is an attribution rather than a definite identification.

A very appealing little survivor with wonderful rosy cheeks and plenty of character, ideal for an antique dolls’ house nursery or a collection of early German bisque dolls.
