A charming 1920s German bisque dolls’ house doll, standing approximately 8cm high and retaining her original period clothing.
She has a delicately painted face with rosy cheeks and red lips, moulded and painted brown bobbed hair and long slender bisque legs with painted shoes. She has wire jointed limbs, allowing movement at the shoulders and hips.
She wears her original patterned cream dress, decorated with tiny coloured flowers and black detailing, with a pink ribbon embellishment to the front. The clothing has some loose threads, as you might expect from an original outfit a century old.
She is likely to have been made by Hertwig & Co., although without a confirmed maker's mark we are offering this as an attribution rather than a definite identification.
A lovely little antique dolls’ house resident with plenty of character, particularly appealing displayed alongside other German bisque dolls of the period.
