Vintage German Dolls House ANFOE Smoker's Set KM335

A charming vintage ANFOE smoker's set, catalogue No. 8169, produced in Germany and illustrated in the 1931 ANFOE catalogue, where it also appeared in the Bassett-Lowke Nuways range sold in Britain.

This delightful soft metal set comprises:

• an ashtray with integral match holder
• two candlesticks
• original brass tray

The match stand is impressed "Germany" and measures approximately 1.7cm high x 1.8cm wide.

This is an incomplete set, with the cigar holder missing, but it remains an increasingly scarce and highly collectable example of early German dolls' house accessories. The surviving pieces display the clean, modern styling for which the ANFOE range became well known during the early 1930s. Contemporary research identifies catalogue number 8169 as the Smoker's Set in the 1931 catalogue.
